» birddy - How to keep weight loss and healthy choices balanced for life

I would love to have a round table discussion with other woman who, like me, are in their fabulous forties, have lost a significant amount of weight and have been able to keep it off for several years. Ideas and 'tricks' become few and far between when one considers ways to keep the weight off, how to remain healthy for life, and how to view oneself as a thin person versus a life long view as a former fatty. Lack of motivation can be one's worst enemy when the praise of others dies down and all you have left is your waning desire to remain thin and more importantly, healthy.

Great idea, Birddy. I have always found that having support is one of the most helpful things in the weight loss journey. There's no reason why that support should stop once you do lose the weight and get healthy.

Continue to reward yourself for staying on track and within a reasonable margin on the scale.
