As a coffee drinker myself, I am happy to read the latest study that says coffee isn't evil. Though I do know people who drink several pots of coffe per day, I have never gone to that extreme. I tend to drink 2 cups per day and that is a good amount to boost metabolism, increase energy for a better workout and it is just a nice way to wake up.
Thta isn't to say that coffee alone will do the trick and you can eat whatever you want. A few cups of caffeine combined with regular exercise and a sensible, low calorie diet is the way to go.
Another thing to consider is that if you are reucing your calric intake, it is not a good idea to cut out coffee at the same time. The results can be ugly because your mood swings will be out of conrtol and you will most likely return to all of your old habits because it will be overwhelming. As with any lifestyle change, make it slowly to make it last.
