Lose More Weight Than by Dieting or Exercising Alone

Do you prefer to diet or exercise to lose weight? A study shows that doing both will increase your chances of weight loss success.


Some overweight people swear that by cutting back on calories and making healthier choices is the only way they can lose weight. Others are convinced that it is the exercise that makes a bigger difference when trying to lose weight because you are able to burn more calories and rev up your metabolism.

A study at Duke University revealed what successful dieters already know to be true. By combining a exercise and a more healthy diet with reduced calories, you can increase your chances of weight loss success. The study also proved that insulin production was dramatically reduced when overweight people did both diet and exercise, while exercise alone did show a decease, it was a 20% difference.

This is good news for overweight people who have Syndrome X. With 40 millions adults in the US being affected by problems associated with obesity and Syndrome X, ths results of this study prove that Americans can make the necessary changes and adopt a healthy lifestyle to lose weight and fight Metabolic Syndrome.

Participants in the study at Duke were exercising a minimum of 3 to 4 times per week and lowered their fat and calorie intake gradually for better weight loss results. Reducing insulin production was key to helping the participants lose the weight.
