Teams are broken up, new teams are formed, trainers disagree about training tactics, two contestants are sent home and six newcomers join the folks on the ranch.

Lots of changes on the ranch this week and the contestants are thrown for a few surprises.

  • The old red and blue teams are split up. They will be paired one red with one blue team members and the rules of the game have changed.
  • In a competition of choosing a plate of food or winning the right to choose how the teams will be formed, Wylie wins while the others eat fruit, cookies and pizza.
  • Wylie comes out of a potition of no power to having complete control over the fate of the contestants. He does not take the responsibilty lightly. He stresses over the decision, but pairs them as follows: Bobby and Heahther, Pam and Brian, Kai and Erik and Marty and Wylie. He did a fair job matching them up and reasoned that Erik had the most to lose, he was working hard and desrved to stay, so he paired him with Kai to automatically give him an extra week on the ranch (if you recall, Kai has a 'get out of jail free card' she won in an earlier challenge, which she can now use to get her team off the chopping block.)
  • The trainers butt heads over training tactics. Wylie asked to train with Bob and he was pushing him to exhaustion. Kim allowed it for a while, then spoke up on her former team member's behalf because she didn't want him worn out before a challenge. Bob said that anyone who didn't want to work out his way could leave.
  • The first challenge for the two-man teams was to hold a bar up the longest without creating a ring of fire at the end when the bar hit the flame. Both partners have to keep a hand on it and there was a lot at stake. Must to thier delight, Pam and Brian won the challenge and were able to make video phone calls home. Both have spouses and kids, so it was a special moment for them.
  • The weigh in is different this week because the goal now is to compete with the other 3 teams and not fall below the yellos line, based on the percentage of weight loss for both patners.
  • The two teams that fall below the yellow line are Pam and Brian and Kai and Erik. The others are safe this week and Wylie is confident he made the right choices.
  • Kai has the decision to use or not use her pass to save herself and Erik. But Erik makes it difficult to beleive he was even trying because he has a 3 pound GAIN.
  • Bob is frustrated with Erik for the gain. Erik admits to slacking this week because he is gauranteed to stay and then he will get better results on the scale next week.
  • Kai uses the pass, so by default, Pam and Brian are sent home. It is an emotional goodbye and Pam feels like she brought brian down by not showing a big percentage of weight loss.
  • Just when they fidn out that Pam and Brian have to leave this week, six new contestants walk in. They are the top six players whp were sent home to do the challenge on their own and their have returned to have a second chance at being the Biggets Loser. The six contestants are sent to the ranch overnight and next week we will find out which two will stay and compete as a team to replace Pam and Brain.
  • The contantants that have been on the ranch from day one are not ahppy about this turn of events and feel like it is a betrayal of Pam and Brian. They vow to be nice to the new people, but to vote them out as soon as possible.
  • The contestant updates were amazing, as usual. Brian is down a total of 118 pounds and looks like a completely different person. Pam lost another 25 pounds after leaving the ranch and is teaching her kids to eat healthy and exercise as a p[art of their daily routine.
