Biggest Loser Recap - Week 9

Sometimes on the Biggest Loser, there comes a point in the game when the contestants realize this is more than just about thier own personal weight loss goals. They come to realize it is a game and they have to play if they want to stay. Last week Erik made the choice to vote out his only remaining blue team member. This was a choice his trainer, Bob, was less than thrilled with. He was disappointed in Erik and let him know it. He told him they had nothing without the team. But now that they were down to a one-man team it was time to fight even harder because it was a fight not only to keep Erik in the game, but also to keep Bob in the game. He made Erik work hard for the desicion he made.

Meanwhile, the contestants participated in a challenge to run laps around a horse track carrying the amount of weight they have lost. Each time they ran a lap they could drop the amount of weight they lost that week on the show. With some of them carrying as much as 100 extra pounds, it was a tough challenge and also a reminder of why they didn't want to return to their former fat selves. Jeron won the race, despite pleas from Adrianne who desperately wanted a visitor from home to stay on the ranch for a day. Jaron enjoyed the time with his wife.

The weigh in was an emotional time for several reasons. Adrianne only lost 2 pounds and felt completely defeated. Her tears flowed freely (as they have been since she came to the ranch.) Jaron and Wylie lost significant amounts of weight and were happy with their results. Eric did Bob proud with a 12 pounds weight loss (bringing his 3 week total to 43 pounds!!) and he met another goal by moving from the 300's to the 200's. Heather fell into the bottom 2 with Adrianne, but she had been nursing a knee injury, so that came as no surprise.

The vote was not a shock. Heather was a shoe in to stay because she had been there longer and was not a threat. Kai kept her best firend and Jaron's vote to keep his biggest support was outnumbered. Adrianne practiced self-fullfiliing prophecy by telling herslef she could not get below the 160's. She left the ranch at 166 and during the update they shared her current weight that had remained the same. Better than a gain, but it was not a jaw-dropping moment like many of the othwer updates have been.
