Create a Reward Chart

One idea for setting up your rewards and being consistent about it is to create a reward chart.

Start by using short and long-term goals. Assign a point value to each of them. Maybe 10 points per short-term goal and 100 points per long-term goal. Then make a list of rewards in order of their value and importance to you. A CD may be worth 50 points, but a mini vacation will be for more like 5,000 points.

Next, graph it out, either on the computer or using a large poster board. Get as creative as you want with it. Use stickers or other visuals that will motivate you.

Keep a tally of how many points you earn on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Follow through and reward yourself when you reach the different point values. Take pride in all that you've accomplished and continue to work towards your long-term goals and rewards.
