Well, Velvet d'Amour is a living example that you can break the mold. She tired to get into ,modeling and straved herself in an attempt to be thin enough for the image the media wanted.
20 years later, after making a loving as a photographer, she now has the chance to step out from behind the camera. She's beautiful, she's confident and she's a size 28.
What's different about Velvet is not just her size. She loves herself and her body. It's that confidence and attitude that will help her succeed in this business.
Though I could not imagine modeling myself, I applaud Velvet for taking the chance and putting herself out there. I think it is great to see a variety of sizes and shapes in the media rather than the same anorexic look in magazines, on TV and on the runway.
