With a quick glance, iPhone users can see how many calories they've allotted themselves for the remainder of the day. iFitness App: A Personal TrainerMany fitness experts advise changing workout routines regularly, but finding new routines can be difficult. The iFitness app solves this problem, acting as a personal exercise assistant by providing images of people performing different exercises, 230 in all, along with 60 video instructions. The exercises are organized by body region or the targeted muscle. To read text instructions for the targeted exercises, the user simply double taps the image, which flips to reveal step-by-step guidance. With iFitness app, users can create a custom workout list, even making several workouts for different days, adding photos and helpful images. Track Weight Loss with Weightbot App Sometimes the simplest apps are the most effective. Weightbot allows users to track their weight, set goals, view BMI, and graph progress. Weightbot is very intuitive and easy to use. BMI is displayed instantly upon entering a new weight. Switch from pounds to metric quickly and effortlessly. Rotating the iPhone to the right reveals a graph of the user's weight over time, and rotating to the left displays user progress toward set goals. Weightbot is available for download in the iTunes app store for $1.99. Mobile Applications for Diet and Exercise These apps can be helpful for iPhone users looking for ways to stay in shape. Even for those without an iPhone, simply documenting diet and exercise in a journal can be helpful. An application provides an extra dose of organization to help dieters meet their goals.
