Low-carb meal plans should be created in advance, in order to improve a diet's weight loss and avoid the use of expensive diet meal replacement bars.

Using low-carb meal plans can make a big difference in the diet's weight loss success or failure. Due to the presence of sugar, corn syrup, and other ingredients that are not allowed in low-carb weight loss plans, it is difficult for dieters to pick something up at the last minute. Without careful planning, many dieters are forced to use diet meal replacement bars as an alternative to skipping meals or breaking the diet. The bars are often not satisfying, and may even contain hidden sugars that lead to cravings, which can derail the low carb diet's weight loss.

Low-Carb Weight Loss Plans

Low-carb weight loss plans depend on consistency to work well. The restricted carbohydrate dieter cannot follow the diet 80% of the time, and expect to lose weight. For this reason it is necessary to create low-carb meal plans in advance, so that there is less chance of going off the diet due to hunger. Creating menus and doing all necessary grocery shopping in advance can improve the satisfaction of the dieter as well.

Lower-Carb Diet Meal Program

  • Breakfast, in this type of diet meal program, can be composed of eggs, vegetables, and a source of protein. A satisfying lower-carb breakfast might be an omelet composed of eggs, broccoli, ham, and cheese. Adding a flax-muffin provides fiber, which is often lacking in low-carb meal plans, without adding excessive carbohydrates.
  • A filling lunch recipe that combines a low-carb diet's weight loss with nutrition is Cobb salad. Cobb salad combines salad greens, including spinach, with protein, in the form of hard-boiled eggs, sliced turkey, and pieces of bacon. Combining mashed avocado with sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and finely chopped parsley results in a reduced-carb salad dressing to top off the meal.
  • Lower-carb dinners are relatively simple, with a few simple substitutions. Cauliflower makes a great rice substitute, for example. Ricing cauliflower while it is raw puts it in the shape of rice. Steaming it with pressed garlic creates a delicate and tasty rice-like dish without the excessive carbohydrate count of rice. Served under a chicken stir-fry, riced cauliflower is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing.

Meal Replacement Diet

Many dieters try to Lose Weight Fast by replacing actual food with diet meal replacement bars. While this strategy may work in the short-term, it can cause problems as time goes on. Meal replacement bars do not offer good Low-Carb Nutrition, and may contain hidden sugars, such as maltodextrine, dextrose, corn syrup, or fructose, which are against a Low Carb Diet's Program Rules. In addition, the dieter is often not satisfied with a few bites of food, and may end up eating both the meal replacement bar and a meal.
